The barn project included detailed planning permission with the purchase, which was very important as the planning process is extremely complicated and restrictive, making it very risky to purchase land without planning consent. The vendors spent two years working with the architect and council to get acceptable plans...

 

 

 


 

We were generally pretty happy with the plans as they stood, but after spending some time on-site and with the architect we made some changes: adding another ensuite for the guest bedroom and a cloakroom in the corner of the stable block. We also detailed the room layouts so we could work out how everything fitted:


Our architect submitted the revised plans to council and happily they were accepted in full, so we're ready to go building...
